Silo is one of the more challenging levels on the LTK mode. There are many guards in the level and you only have 8:35 before the entire level explodes. Therefore, you can't really play this level super-safe in hope for a completion. The current World Record is considered to be one of the strongest in Goldeneye's LTK mode.

This is a tutorial for Goldeneye 007. For an outline of the strategies used in this tutorial, see the main level page.

Overview

Silo is a high skill level/low luck level. Generally it is considered amongst the hardest Goldeneye LTK levels, due to the large number of guards, tight and long corridors and time restriction.

No particular tricks are generally required for completion, just good accurate defensive play.

General Completion Notes

Crate Guards

Guards who stand by crates target you regardless of whether they have seen you or not. These guards can react exceptionally quickly, so can pose significant issue. They are also the only guards on the level capable of pulling grenades.

Patrolling Guards

These guards work on time cycles and can be a help or hindrance in opening doors, allowing for easy kills or exposing you to guards in far corridors. Careful door opening is a very useful skill.

Door Opening

Doors at the top of stairs can be opened from underneath. This means you can safely open these doors and shoot patrolling guards from the room below.

Ouromov Corridor

The top of Ouromov's head is visible from the front of the Satellite room, so he can be shot from there. This will alert some, but not all of the guards in his corridor. The guards in this corridor vary in how they are alerted, so be a little careful on entering this area.
