dataDyne Central: Defection is the first level in Perfect Dark. All three world record strategies on this level make use of the world-famous Defection glitch.

Objectives

  • 1. Disable internal security hub [Special Agent, Perfect Agent]
The player must attach an ECM Mine onto the computer screen in the room below the starting point.
  • 2. Obtain keycode necklace [Special Agent, Perfect Agent]
The player must punch Cassandra to receive her necklace.
  • 3. Download project files [Perfect Agent]
The player must trigger the Programmer NPC to walk to a certain computer on the floor above his starting location. After the Programmer begins to say "Okay, I'm in", use the Data Uplink to download the files.
  • Additionally, to reach Cassandra, the player must press B on a button near the door to Cassandra's room to unlock it.
